Loves to Read
I recently finished my fourth book—all self-published and promoted. And, it thinking about how I wanted to introduce it to the world, (well my friends, family, and unlucky souls on Amazon who see my ad) my mind went back to my elementary school yearbook. The picture of me in the graduating (6th grade) class had the heading Loves to Read.
At the time, and for many years after, I was immensely embarrassed. Not only was the picture unfortunate (I had a crazy explosion of not quite curly, not quite wavy hair), but the description seemed unjust. While it was true that my head was always down in a book, I wanted a more courageous label, like best at kick-ball or most likely to win an Olympic gold medal. Reading was just not cool.
Alas, you can’t outrun your destiny. I do love to read. I’ll read most anything, and I’m also not afraid to put a book down if I don’t like it—I love to read what I like to read.
And, as it turns out, I also like to write and publish books.
You can find them on Amazon. Happy reading!
