Hello Friends,
The world has become too stupid.
Children are dying because the people in power are more concerned about their popularity and making money.
Scientists are afraid to speak the truths they discover.
Doctors don’t have the means to help people.
Educational institutions are afraid to teach (This is not a statement on DEI programs—it’s deeper than that. Keeping a population uneducated is a well-documented strategy for controlling it).
And, science writing has become too frustrating to read and share. It used to be fun and exciting, and now it’s just dumb and no one cares.
I’m taking a break from this newsletter.
Good luck to you all. Maybe look away from your phone or take a walk outside.
David
I understand your decision, but I'd love for you to reconsider. I can see how people need to shift their focus but we have to stand up against what's going on. Or, you can give us ways to take a moment to shift our focus with your fine posts. You say "It happens" but it doesn't seem to me like anything like this has happened. I've enjoyed your weekly posts and shared a few, hoping more people would discover it.
I appreciate it Rae. I'm hoping to get back to it (in some form), but I need a break to find something worth writing about.
